Operating from May through September, our cottages provide the serenity of bayside country living while giving you easy access to a host of activities, and Charlottetown, our capitol city, is only minutes away. Whatever you’re looking for, from complete relaxation to an itinerary filled with festivals and events, it’s close by.
Bayside Cottages is in the midst of premiere beach country, with PEI National Park providing miles of pristine sand, dunes and water along the North Shore and two of the Island’s most renowned beaches, Stanhope and Brackley. Both beaches are supervised, and are an essential part of any PEI vacation.
When your day at the beach is done, return to your one-, two-, or three-bedroom cottage at Bayside. Each has been approved by Canada Select, an industry led program that provides travelers with a consistently applied guarantee of quality nationwide. Secure, clean and well maintained, our cottages include private baths, central heat control, and comfortable beds.
PEI is alive with activities, festivals, and events. Within walking distance, you can stroll the boardwalk along the bay, take a deep-sea fishing excursion, play a round of golf at the Stanhope Golf and Country Club, and enjoy fresh seafood at Richard’s Eatery on Covehead Wharf, a local favourite. A short drive will take you to the home of Anne of Green Gables and her creator, L.M. Montgomery, and to The Dunes Studio Gallery & Cafe.
Never far away, you can take in festivals and special events; theatre on one of PEI’s many stages, including the Charlottetown Festival at Confederation Centre of the Arts; contemporary music, Celtic ceildhs and concerts, Acadian music, and classical music festivals; lobster suppers; provincial exhibitions; sailing regattas; harness racing, and even hockey.
